Information we process
We process the account details you provide, including your name, email and login information handled by our authentication provider; birth date, birth time and birthplace; timezone and language; your public profile; Clan requests and connections; saved charts and readings; notification preferences; and Cry Coin balances and transaction records. The app also records service activity such as page visits, session identifiers and event times. If you contact us, we receive your message and contact details.
Why we use it
We use account and birth information to provide the service you request: calculate charts, generate interpretations, save readings and support social features. Where UK or EEA data protection law applies, our basis for these core services is performance of our contract with you. We use limited operational records for our legitimate interests in maintaining reliability, preventing abuse and handling support, and retain records where a legal obligation requires it. Optional marketing requires the permission applicable to that communication; account registration is not blanket marketing consent.
Charts, AI and shared stories
Our astrology provider calculates planetary placements. AI services then generate written interpretations from supplied chart context. Rules select daily character expressions and compatibility scores. These outputs are for reflection and can be incomplete or inaccurate; they are not measurements of your emotions or guaranteed predictions. They do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you. Weekly and monthly zodiac stories are shared sign-level content, cached for their period rather than personalised birth-chart reports.
Public profiles and social features
Other signed-in users can discover public profile information such as your name, username, zodiac identity, avatar and bio. Social features can display astrology-derived summaries and relationship readings involving other profiles. Do not put information you want kept private in your public name or bio. Your email, raw birth information, full stored chart and balance are restricted profile fields. Contact us to request changes to discovery, connections or sharing.
Service providers and recipients
Base44 provides app hosting, authentication, databases and integrated AI services. FreeAstroAPI receives the birth inputs needed to calculate charts. When a birthplace cannot be resolved, the app may send its place-name query to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service. AI providers accessed through Base44 receive the chart context used for interpretations. Payment providers may process checkout details if payment functionality is enabled. Email and support providers process communications sent through them. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
International processing
We operate from India, and our technology providers may process information in other countries, including the United States. Provider locations and applicable transfer arrangements depend on the service involved. You can ask team@shewillcry.co.uk for details of the providers and transfer safeguards applicable to your information.
Browser storage
The app uses local and session storage for authentication, language settings, profile references, onboarding inputs and session continuity. Clearing browser storage may sign you out or reset preferences; it does not delete information already stored on our servers.
How long we keep information
Account information, charts and saved readings are retained while needed to provide your account and the features you use. Shared story caches are retained to serve their relevant periods and support reliable regeneration. When you request deletion, we assess and remove information no longer needed, while retaining only records necessary for applicable legal obligations, unresolved transactions, security investigations or disputes. Retention depends on these purposes rather than one universal deadline. Provider backups may follow separate retention cycles.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information. You may withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Email team@shewillcry.co.uk with your request. Birth details are voluntary, but personalised chart features cannot operate without the necessary inputs.
Your right to object
